Nintendo DS 3D Glasses Free

3DSA Nintendo DS 3D glasses free console is set to be released to the public shortly. The Nintendo DS device has already created a media sensation and generated more than $125 million for Nintendo, with sales concentrated in Japan and the Americas. These include the both the Nintendo DS Lite and Nintendo Dsi. Now, with glasses free technology on the horizon, this is being hailed as the next-generation version of a popular portable game machine and no doubt many will rush to be among the first to buy it and try it out.

The Nintendo DS 3D glasses free game provides 3D technology and experience without requiring the viewer to wear special glasses. The target date for release has been said to be in March of 2011, and the Nintendo 3DS is said to be compatible with the software from previous versions such as DSLite and Dsi. The screens will be made by Sharp, who have manufactured Nintendo’s hardware for quite a long time.

There are different kinds of 3D technology that don’t require glasses that have been used in devices such as computer monitors, televisions, and even laptops, but so far none of these have garnered the same amount of popularity as the 3D with glasses. The kind of 3D that doesn’t require you to wear glasses uses a particular kind of screen known as a lenticular screen, which mean it has lots of miniscule vertical lenses that send multiple images to each eye. As a result, to get the 3D image, you have to hold your head in a specific position. This limitation has prevented this kind of glasses-free 3D from becoming popular for units viewed from a distance, like from a couch. But this won’t be a problem for a device you can hold in your hands, and that is the audience targeted for the Nintendo DS 3D glasses free game.

There are different kinds of potential audiences for Nintendo DS 3D glasses free. The most obvious is older male children and teenagers. Traditionally, this was the demographic that was usually the most entertained by handheld gaming devices, and no doubt there will be several of these young men in line at the toy store or the online store to buy these 3D handheld games when they come out. They will make excellent “extra” gifts to give for holidays or birthdays. But now that an entire generation of adults has switched to using smart phones, there is a whole new potential target audience for handheld games. A professional can now use a game on his or her smart phone and still retain their  image as an important executive. This can carry over into handheld games as well, and Nintendo should use this opportunity to market these devices to multiple kinds of audiences.
